Terms of Service

Draft for review. These terms are a template pending review by legal counsel before they become a binding agreement.

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern access to and use of the Or Hadash platform. By creating an account or using the service, the school and its authorized users agree to these Terms.

Accounts and roles

Access is granted through school-managed accounts with defined roles (admin, principal, teacher, secretary, parent, student). Users must keep credentials confidential and use the platform only within the permissions their role allows. Schools are responsible for the accounts they provision.

Acceptable use

Use the platform only for legitimate school-operations purposes.
Do not attempt to access data outside your role, school, or permitted relationships.
Students may not use the Or assistant to complete assignments, generate test or quiz answers, submit AI work as their own, or otherwise bypass learning. These limits are enforced in code as well as policy.
Do not misuse, probe, or attempt to disrupt the security or integrity of the service.

The Or assistant and AI features

The Or assistant acts only through approved tools with permission checks, audit logging, and human confirmation for sensitive actions. AI-generated grades, comments, announcements, and external writebacks default to drafts requiring human approval. AI output may contain errors; authorized staff are responsible for reviewing it before it is published or acted upon. Or Hadash does not provide legal, tax, or medical advice.

School data

Schools retain ownership of their data. Our handling of personal and education-record data is described in the Privacy Policy, including our COPPA and FERPA commitments. We process school data only to provide the service.

Billing

Paid plans are billed per the pricing agreed with the school. Fees, student tiers, and billing intervals are described at sign-up and on the pricing page. Tuition, fees, and donations a school collects from its own families are separate and governed by the school's own arrangements.

Availability and changes

We work to keep the service reliable but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. We may update features and these Terms; material changes will be communicated to schools, and continued use after an update constitutes acceptance.

Termination

A school may stop using the service at any time and request export or deletion of its data. We may suspend access for violations of these Terms or to protect the security of the platform and its users.

Disclaimers and liability

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind to the extent permitted by law. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Or Hadash is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the service. Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot be limited under applicable law.
